Thailand has it all, its offshore islands and beach resorts provide every kind of water sport you can imagine, giving you the opportunity to have a go at anything. Popular destinations for those of you that want to combine an island location with inland sporting adventures are Phang Nga and Krabi. Both destinations give you access to hundreds of offshore islands and beach resorts in southern Thailand.
Bangkok apart from shopping and sightseeing provides plenty of leisure and sporting opportunities for visitors. Good sport clubs, excellent golf courses, horse racing, tennis, snooker halls, indoor water parks and go kart tracks. It is also world renown for its Muay Thai (Kick Boxing) boxing stadiums, Lumpini and Ratchadamnoen.

Chiang Mai in north Thailand was the first non capital city to host the prestigious South East Asian games in 1995 the city boasts world class sport facilities in a number of sports. Chiang Mai is also the home of the country's oldest sports club, Olympic quality arenas, pools and grounds, the Gymkhana is said to be the most beautiful in Thailand.
Doi Inthanon National Park in the Chiang Mai Province provides wonderful nature trails, idea for trekking adventures, bird watching and white water rafting. It is also the home of Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s tallest mountain, standing 2,565 meters above sea level, the hike to the peak, offers stunning views over the province.
Kanchanaburi province, (The site of the bridge over the River Kwai) is a 2 hour journey from Bangkok by car, taxi or minibus. The Province is idea for a relaxing 3-4 day break, has excellent Spa and leisure resorts, golf courses set in scenic locations, and is idea for fishing, mountain biking and rafting expeditions.
The beach resort of Hua Hin is home to the oldest golf course in Thailand and is idea for families and those of you that seek a quieter location. Quality resort hotels offer plenty of leisure, fitness centers and sporting activities.
Those of you that want an island holiday with plenty of water sport activities and inland sporting adventures. Koh Samui and surrounding islands offer jungle camps, good sailing scuba diving and Sea Kayaking expeditions.
Koh Chang is a marine national park with over fifty other islands scattered around it, located in the eastern gulf of Thailand. The islands coral reefs are perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving enthusiasts.
