Rock Climbing Krabi Thailand


Krabi is in the top five of the world’s best spots for mountain climbing. The smell and breeze of the sea with the emerald water below the limestone cliffs, are a must for climbers. Railay Beach boasts many spots for all levels of climbers, from beginners to professionals with over 700 routes.


The incredible limestone cliffs encircling Tonsai Beach, Krabi, provides some of the world’s most spectacular sports climbing. Offering breathtaking views combined with varying degrees of climbing difficulty. The unlimited number of crags, make it a climbing destination that you will never forget.


Climbing - The Phi Phi Islands


There are seven major walls in Phi Phi, all equipped with glue in bolts, providing some of the best easier grade multi pitch climbs in Thailand. Most of which are done over a mesmerizing blue sea. The Phi Phi islands offers climbing with no crowds, and beautiful settings over a lush tropical seascape.


Climbing - Phang Nga Province


Phang Nga Province is bursting with massive limestone karst mountains. The many unexplored cliffs are just waiting to be discovered. The tops of many mountains in Phang Nga province reveal breathtaking scenery over the world famous Phang Nga Bay.


Climbing - Ao Loaliang


Just a two hour drive from the south of Railay is a new climbing destination, Ao Loaliang, in Trang. The beach is still intact and less busy, as it is part of the national park, with no permanent hotels or bars. The beach is backed by limestone cliffs providing about 500 climbing routes.


Ao Loaliang, offers luxurious, spacious tents, a three day-two night mountain climbing package is around 6,000 Baht, a little more for weekends, packages includes accommodation, meals, climbing equipment and tours around the island.


Climbing - Chiang Mai


The Chiang Mai Climbing Club is home to two of the largest bouldering walls in Thailand, the indoor and outdoor walls offer 24 square meters of climbing space, large gymnastics pads, campus board, and finger board.


Indoor Climbing Walls


Climbing walls are a great option for those who want to make sure they are fit before setting off on a weeks climbing in Krabi. The centers provide all the necessary equipment, and have instructors on hand, like diving, climbers need a buddy, or so called, delayer.


Pro Climber Adventures  is recommended by the Climbing Association, they have three types of courses. Kids, Basic and Interluxury, each course comes with a one day trip to a real climbing site outside Bangkok. Their pro shop has a good section of rock climbing tools. They also regularly organize climbing trips out of town for their members.


The Capitol Club Bangkok is a luxury sport club at the center of Bangkok. The  Club has a 10 meter rock climbing wall for all ages. To climb here you need a membership, but you can also use your membership for all their other facilities such as tennis and squash courts, swimming pool and yoga class.


Fairtex Fitness & Sports Club, Hotel complex in Pattaya Thailand. The facility is on  3.5 acre site located in North Pattaya, within walking distance to the beach. It is a state of the art facility with four boxing rings. Olympic size swimming pool, fully equipped fitness center and rock climbing wall plus many other five star amenities.
